The American Medical Informatics Association (AMIA) is a well-known medical and bioinformatics conference with a diverse set of local and international attendees.

At the November 14-18, 2015 conference held in San Francisco, CA, GeneLab’s Dr. Dan Berrios presented a poster entitled, “GeneLab: NASA’s Open Access, Collaborative Platform for Systems Biology and Space Medicine.”

An exhibit booth was hosted by GeneLab team members who engaged conference attendees in discussions about the role of GeneLab’s open science platform in maximizing data return from biological experiments performed on the International Space Station and from other NASA missions. Several hundred of the estimated 2500 scientists attending the four-day conference visited the GeneLab booth.
